5 Minute Ice Cream!
What you'll need:
1 gallon size zip top plastic bag
1 "sandwich size" zip top plastic bag
about 2 cups ice
6 Tablespoons salt
1/2 cup milk or cream
1 Tablespoon sugar
1/4 Tablespoon vanilla extract
Put the ice and salt into the gallon size bag, and set aside. Then, into the sandwich size bag, add the milk, sugar, and vanilla and seal the bag well. Place the smaller (sealed) bag inside the larger bag of ice and salt then seal the larger bag well. Once the bag is all sealed up, start shaking!
Shake it up for about 5 minutes, the kids can help too! It will be super cold, so you can have fun passing it around in a "Hot Potato" style game. Just keep it moving around, no need to be exact or perfect.
Once you've reached the 5 minute mark, grab your spoons and open it up! Our kids loved the process and the yummy results!
*Appologies that the pics are out of order. There are a few bugs in the new version of Patch that need to be worked out ;)
