This Week's Mommy Tip: Keep Your Ice Cream Fresh

The Mom Squad Moms share some tips and tricks for other parents.

This week's Mommy Tip:

Keep your ice cream fresh by covering it with plastic wrap.

Make sure you press the plastic wrap onto the surface of the ice cream so that it is (mostly) airtight. This will prevent ice crystals from forming and keep it tasting fresher longer.

Who is Tony Faber? Here is some history from a family member. My name is Karen Hunt and my…Read More grandfather is and was Albert Jacob Faber. He owned and ran that bike shop up until his death in 1975. Subsequent to grandpa's death the house/building became the property of my grandmother, Lucille Faber. Upon her death, the property went to my mother, Jackie Faber-Cornick. In 1978, the business, not the building was sold to Alex Lariviere and he has conducted business since. The building was never sold and belongs to my mom, Jackie Cornick. It was her great-grandparents home back in the 1920's. We are shocked and saddened by this tremendous loss. At this time, we are trying to decide the fate of that beloved building. We are currently awaiting forensics tests, engineering and structural reports, and working with the City to keep it safe and prevent it from being vandalized and becoming a blight. I'm happy to answer any questions you might have about the history of Faber's Cyclery. My grandfather was a man of character and integrity. Sadly, neither of his two sons became involved in the business. With that said, anybody claiming to be a Faber or son of Albert Jacob, is just misrepresenting the truth.
