The most comically obscene statement repeatedly used in the California Welfare & Institutions Code as well as throughout national Family law: The Best Interests of the Child.
In my child's individual case, the Department of Family & Children's Services has been responsible for the sexual assault at the hands of a sub-contracted employee, the untreated, unacknowledged and non-vindicated residual effects of such a horrible experience; the DFCS social worker has been perfectly comfortable and in support of a "case plan" which has enabled the gradual separation from her true family unit in favor of chronic maltreatment and negligence.
The DFCS has permanently damaged my only child, and continues to do so to date because they have been enabled by the courts to do so, under the cowardice of legal immunity.
