Work on the is almost, but using public transportation nearby has been difficult.
Two southbound VTA line 60 bus stops were closed due to construction on both sides of Winchester, said Brandi Childress, VTA spokeswoman.
The bus stop just south of Campbell Avenue was closed at the request of a contractor that is supposed to be removing and replacing the sidewalk, Childress said.
"But this has caused confusion since the work did not immediately begin," she said. "VTA is monitoring the bus stop just north of Campbell Avenue with hopes of getting it open soon."
The Winchester Boulevard Master Plan, which was approved by Campbell City Council in 2009 began Phase 1 of its construction in October 2011 and is scheduled for completion at the end of the month.
