The Trolley Through Campbell

Before the light rail, there was the traditional rail.

This week's history photo was taken April 1, 1932 and shows off the last day of servicce on the Campbell cut off of the Peninsula Railway: San Jose-Los Gatos Road (which would later become Bascom Avenue) and National Avenue.

The photo was looking towards the west and shows a woman with flowers stepping onto the Peninsula Railway, number 59 car.
