The day was a scorcher but the heat wasn't a deterrent for those that came out for the second annual Campbell Veterans Car Show.
"We definitely have more people, more cars this year," said Campbell Veterans Foundation past president Jim Free.
The event is for the foundation's project, , which just outside of Campbell City Hall, across from the .
"This is just the second year," said Campbell Veterans Foundation member Bert Caro. "Hopefully every year it gets better."
Cars from every era shinned it up and made it out to the event, providing eye candy for visitors to enjoy, alongside live musical performances.
"We work with veterans all over and if it's for the veterans, I book it," said Fred Loveland. He brought his two-toned 1934 Ford to the event Saturday, June 16, complete with various military flags.
Campbell Mayor and veteran Mike Kotowski was on hand, scoping out the rides and chatting it up with visitors.
For him, there's nothing like the style of cars of the 1950s.
"After that, it all went to hell," he said with a smile. He says cars and car design made a big comeback in the 2000s though.
Local business Bay Area Equity Group, LLC sponsored the event for the second year in a row.
