MOMS Club of Campbell Raise Funds for History

The fundraiser benefits the Campbell Historical Museum's Hands-on-History Program.

The MOMS Club of Campbell will be hosting a fundraiser at in the today, from 4-9:00 p.m. 

The event is aimed at raising funds for the to support the Hands-on-History Program, a program aimed at second and third graders that allows them to learn about local history through various, hands-on experiences including exhibit areas, learning to barter and using an old-fashioned laundry appliance.

No flyer is needed, just mention you are supporting the MOMS Club and 30 percent of your purchase will be donated.

The MOMS Club of Campbell is part of the International MOMS Club (Moms Offering Moms Support), a non‐profit support group for stay-at‐home moms.

Who is Tony Faber? Here is some history from a family member. My name is Karen Hunt and my…Read More grandfather is and was Albert Jacob Faber. He owned and ran that bike shop up until his death in 1975. Subsequent to grandpa's death the house/building became the property of my grandmother, Lucille Faber. Upon her death, the property went to my mother, Jackie Faber-Cornick. In 1978, the business, not the building was sold to Alex Lariviere and he has conducted business since. The building was never sold and belongs to my mom, Jackie Cornick. It was her great-grandparents home back in the 1920's. We are shocked and saddened by this tremendous loss. At this time, we are trying to decide the fate of that beloved building. We are currently awaiting forensics tests, engineering and structural reports, and working with the City to keep it safe and prevent it from being vandalized and becoming a blight. I'm happy to answer any questions you might have about the history of Faber's Cyclery. My grandfather was a man of character and integrity. Sadly, neither of his two sons became involved in the business. With that said, anybody claiming to be a Faber or son of Albert Jacob, is just misrepresenting the truth.
