in Campbell is hosting a series of wine dinners that offers local foodies another place to take a seat.
Kicking off the series is "Pairing Series: Thomas Fogarty Winery," with Thomas Fogarty, son of the founder and current owner presenting.
Each event costs $100 per ticket and lasts three hours, starting with a one hour presentation on the principles of food and wine pairing, philosophy of the wine and winery (by the winery owner or wine maker depending on the event), and a professional tasting during the seminar led by a master sommelier (before the pairing), International Culinary Center spokesman Paul Brady said in an email.
There will also be a three-courses meal with three wines paired – each described by the sommelier, Brady said.
The series runs through the year and will highlight wineries across the San Francisco surrounding area, including Sonoma, Napa and Santa Cruz. The first three will all be from Santa Cruz.
