Campbell Veterans Foundation Receive Donation from On-Site.com

The local Campbell company donated $15,000 to the Campbell Veterans Memorial Foundation.

The received a donation this morning from On-Site.com.

The local automation software company is relatively new to Campbell, having moved in to its current location in just five months ago in November 2011. When founder, CEO father-son team Tom and Jake Harrington first heard about the local organization, they knew they would be helping out in one way or another.

"We thought it was a fairly unique opportunity," Jake Harrington, On-Site.com CEO says. "It's a memorial that not only aims at building and keeping up something physical but also there's a service aspect. They're helping out where existing programs fall short."

The company and the Harrington Family Foundation have donated $15,000 to-date, but Harrington says that if the project stays on schedule, On-Site.com will continue to help where it can.

Campbell Veterans Memorial Foundation President Dan Furtado, Campbell Mayor Mike Kotowski and Campbell Veterans Memorial Foundation past president Jim Free were all present to accept the $10,000 donation from On-Site.com.

"We are very grateful for the donation," Furtado says.

The foundation raises funds through a three-pronged approach, he says:

  • Large donations like the one made today;
  • Events and the car show coming up in June;
  • and by the sale of bricks.

"We hope that depending on what works for them, everyone can participate," Furtado says.
