Campbell's Easter Parade & Egg Hunt Details (12,000 Eggs!)

Saturday will be hoppin' in Campbell!

Campbell Kiwanis Club is hosting its 34th Annual Campbell Eggstravaganza for children ages 1-12 on Saturday -- April 19 -- beginning at 9 a.m. at the Athletic Fields at the Campbell Community Center.

The egg and candy hunt will begin after the singing of the National Anthem at 10:30a.m. SHARP.

Attendees should supply their own Easter bags and baskets. Some 12,000 plastic colored eggs will be sprinkled throughout the lawn.
There will be coffee, water, doughnuts and world famous Hobee's Coffee Cake for sale  -- which helps defray the cost of this free event.

A secure-fenced area for children 1 to 4 will be set up for the kids to play with the bunnies and collect a few eggs.

Festivities will run through 11 a.m. and include: face painting, nail painting, crazy hair painting, baton dance demonstrations from Valley Baton Club, a craft project with Home Depot, 5 jump houses, DJ Stephen "Stevarino" Armbruster spinning music and cracking bunny jokes, and pictures with the Easter bunny.

(The Eggstravaganza is free, but donations at event stations will be appreciated.)

The 16th Annual Bunnies and Bonnets Parade, hosted by Downtown Campbell, begins Saturday -- April 19 -- at 12 noon with marching bands, baton dancers, classic cars and more.

The parade starts at the east end of Downtown, by the railroad tracks, and runs along Campbell Avenue to Third Street.

Stop by early and stay a little late to enjoy Downtown Campbell! Prior to the parade, colored chalk will be provided for children to draw pictures on the street, organizers say.
