The 33rd Annual Boogie Aims at Bringing the Bayou to Campbell

The two-day festival kicks off May 19 and continues May 20 in downtown Campbell.

Campbell just knows how to throw a party and this weekend, the estimated 60,000 people that are expected will prove this.

On May 19 and 20, the will present the , a two-day food and music-centric festival that attracts thousands throughout the South Bay.

, , and of course, will be offered by the various food vendors at the event but if your little one isn't keen on alligator, there's always the kettle corn!

The event is family-friendly, with an entire area,"Kiddie Korner" dedicated to the youth (and young-at-heart), complete with carnival-style rides adjacent to .

Inside the candy and soda store, the 's SJG School of Music's Rock Workshop Bands will be performing live on May 19, from 11:00 a.m. to about 1:00 p.m.

"We are glad we could accommodate," said Rocket Fizz Co-Owner Chris Dunn.

This year, the chamber has added a few features to the event to make it simpler to find information and to spend less time in lines.

"We created an official Boogie facebook page and have a partnership with Bi-fi to offer paperless tickets for food, like an express line," said Campbell Chamber of Commerce CEO Neil Collins.

This last part will come in handy with the 200 food and drink vendors that will be present at the weekend event.

The chamber will also be at hand to make sure people can really get into the New Orleans-feel with festive masks, beads and hats for sale, $5 each.

Boogie is free to attend and kicks off May 19 at 10:00 a.m. and goes to 6:00 p.m. The second day, May 20 goes from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Hi Stacy.... I work at the Campbell Chamber of Commerce that puts on Boogie...The "no pets" is not new and we are required to post that because the city requires it. I think it has to do with the abundance of people attending...sorry...I have a dog and would LOVE to bring him too.... Bethany

Hi, Bethany. Thanks for replying. I guess I brought my dog "illegally" previously. Thanks, again.
