Singles Can Get a Preview of the New Bay Club

Bay Club and Singles Supper Club are holding a VIP tour and social mixer at the new fitness facility on Friday.

The newest athletic facility in Cupertino, Bay Club, is scheduled for a grand opening on Aug. 1, but thanks to a pre-opening a select group will get a sneak peek Friday evening. There’s one catch, it’s only for singles.

Co-sponsored by Singles Supper Club, Society of Single Professionals and Western Athletic Clubs, a tour of the new $16 million facilities located next to Sears at Vallco, will be held between 6:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. and include a social cocktail mixer with beer, wine, soft drinks and appetizers, which starts at 7 p.m.

“It’s $10 and open to the public,” says Laura Lane, owner of Singles Supper Club.

Space for the tour is limited to 100 people and the event is free to Western Athletic Clubs/Capital Club members who present their member card at the door.

The new club—which is part of Western Athletic Club—is 70,000 square feet, three stories and offers a full-service sanctuary spa, whirlpool spas, luxury locker rooms, steam rooms, saunas, cycling, fitness center for classes, a business center and Starbucks, plus more.

The Singles Supper Club holds events such as cocktail mixers, progressive dinners and dances across the Bay Area from San Francisco to Santa Cruz and into the East Bay, Lane says.

There are singles of all ages, from mid-20s to late 60s and they come from all over the Bay Area, too.

Lane, has about 8,000 members on her email list and held a murder mystery dinner last spring in Los Gatos, the town in which she lives.
