Whole Foods Campbell is offering up the opportunity to meet health related organizations within the community today at 11:00 a.m. at its Health Fair.
The event takes place at Whole Foods from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. and aims at being a way for the community and participants to connect, said Whole Foods spokeswoman Tina Manickam.
"Our customer base is very health conscious people that care about the quality of food they consume, and so we feel that they are more likely to take the time to learn about health-related organizations, and see how they can benefit from them," Manickam said.
The event also gives local gyms and yoga studios an opportunity to talk to people to give them an idea about programs and promotions they are running, she said.
"Whole Foods as a company is totally into educating our team members and our customers about various ways to stay fit and eat healthy, and so we try to host events that will act as a resource for people to achieve that goal," Manickam said.
Participants in today's event include:
- Campbell Recreation Department
- Club One Fitness
- EDRC Yoga Instruction
- And many more.
Manickam said that these participants were all chosen for the Health Fair for one reason: they are all local.
"We have supported these practitioners and organizations in various capacities in the last few months," she said. "Some of them do store tours for their clients at our store, we donate to their events, and carry their literature in our store. We also help advertise some of their non-profit events at our store.
"This is a great way to promote local businesses for a win-win partnership."
