Riders will leave from Barracuda Networks headquarters in Campbell and ride through Los Gatos, the Orchard City, descending on San Jose Soquel Road and then looping around Corralitos to Uvas Road.
The ride gives participants a chance to burn their Christmas feast and raise money for the Challenged Athletes Foundation.
The nonprofit raises money to provide prosthetics and hand cycles for athletes with disabilities.
The 160- and 80-plus-kilometer routes take riders on beautiful and scenic terrain that isn’t overly challenging, said event spokesman Jesse Kimbrel.
"The atmosphere is fun, participation has grown each year and is becoming well received in the local cycling community," Kimbrel added.
This year, the event has added the 50-mile option for riders who don’t want to pedal the full 100-mile version, Kimbrell explained.
Registration is $50 and benefits CAF, or $100, which includes a jersey.
