Celebrate Cinco de Mayo Tonight in Campbell

First Fridays in downtown Campbell kick off tonight, 6:00-9:00 p.m..

After , downtown Campbell's First Fridays are back with tonight's Friday Fiesta.

So what's a First Friday, you ask? It's an event that happens on the first Friday of every month in downtown Campbell rain or shine. They from month to month, take place from 6:00-9:00 p.m. and are family-friendly.

Local shops stay open later, live music is played throughout the downtown and various eateries pull out the stops.

Tonight, there will be live Zumba demonstrations by in front of , live painting by Campbell artist John Cloud and, for a bit of Cinco de Mayo flavor, literally, Campbell's El Guapo's will offer up tacos at two for $5 and Chevelas at $5.

Not enough for you? There will also be the grand opening of a brand new business downtown, Carla Almanza-de Quant's new art gallery, which offers up Venetian masks and sculptures. And if you end up making a purchase downtown, at will wave the cover charge with your receipt.

Live music tonight will be provided by:

  • Havana Jazz, a four-piece Afro-Cuban jazz band,
  • Nerio de Garcia, a three-piece mamba jazz band.

 DJ Ric Williams will also make an appearance downtown, spinning salsa and Latin jazz tunes.
