Campbell is holding a community blood drive for the American Red Cross this Wednesday, July 31.
The drive will take place from 12-6:00 p.m. in the Orchard City Banquet Hall.
Donors will also have the opportunity to also sign petitions (with partnership of the Red Cross) directed to the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) advocating for the reevaluation of its ban on gay men donating blood.
"Let us save lives while also advocating for sound and rational policy," Campbell Mayor Evan Low says.
