Ukrainian Easter Eggs Workshop
Learn the ancient art of Ukrainian Easter eggs. The intricate designs on these colorful eggs are really much easier than they seem: If you can hold a pencil you can do this! Decoration on a real eggshell is done in stages with wax resist and a series of dyes, this art is the origin of today’s Easter eggs and were meant to bring you and whoever you give them to good luck!
In this three hour workshop you will learn the different symbols and their meanings as well as the step by step process for creating your own egg or two.
We will be using an open flame, so no small children please!
(Parents: this is a fun class to do with your tween!)
Class fee is $28, including all materials.
