Mental Health First Aid Training

Campbell Library partners with Santa Clara
County Mental Health Department to present a two-day Mental Health First Aid Training. This is an 8-hour interactive course that is
free and available for the public. This course meets the qualifications for 8
hours of continuing education for LCSW’s and LMFT’s as required by the CA Board
of Behavioral Sciences.
Participants must
attend both parts to be eligible to take the optional test on 12/9 for Mental
Health First Aid Certification.
Participants will learn

a 5-step action plan to apply Mental Health
First Aid until appropriate professional help is available.

the risk factors and warning signs associated
for the most common mental health problems

· knowledge about how to reduce the impact of mental illness.
It is recommended
that participants are 17 years old or older.

This class will take place on Mondays, December
2 and 9, 2013 from 4:30 -8:40 p.m. in the Community Room on the lower
level of the Campbell Library.
