Campbell Police Union Endorses Evan Low for Assembly

Press release from Evan Low's campaign:

CAMPBELL, CA – Campbell City Council member Evan Low, today announced that his campaign for the State Assembly has received the endorsement of the Campbell Police Officers’ Association.

“The Campbell Police Officers’ Association is proud to support Evan Low for Assembly,” said Gary Berg, President of the CPOA. “When Campbell, like our state and many cities throughout California, grappled with a tough economy, Evan proved to be an innovative leader and effective coalition builder. He helped find solutions that protected vital public safety services and balanced our city budget. Evan’s leadership is needed in Sacramento.”

Support from the Campbell Police Officers’ Association marks yet another major win for Low’s campaign. In recent months, Low quickly established himself as a clear frontrunner after posting an impressive $290,000 raised over the first half of the year and announcing a series of major endorsements from key local and state leaders.

“It is an honor to have the support of the rank-and-file police officers who are on the front lines of keeping our community safe day in and day out” said Evan Low.

“In the State Assembly, I will fight to make sure that these brave men and women have the resources and support they need to keep our communities safe.”

The Campbell Police Officers’ Association is the latest organization to join a rapidly growing list of supporters lining up behind Evan Low’s campaign for Assembly.

In recent weeks, Low announced winning endorsements from Assemblymember Toni Atkins, the California Asian Pacific Islander Legislative Caucus, the Mayors and Vice-Mayor’s from five area cities, and a slew of Bay Area State Assemblymembers.
