New Business Moving in to Former Barnes & Noble Space

The Pruneyard will see a new tenant in the former bookstore's location next month.

 

After being in Campbell for 16 years, Barnes & Noble announced it would close its doors on Dec. 31, 2012.

Now, a little more than a month later, a new business has announced it will be opening a fifth location at 1875 S. Bascom Ave.

Sports Basement confirmed that it is opening it's second location in the South Bay at the Pruneyard Shopping Center in March.

"We’re beyond stoked to become part of the growing Campbell community!" said Jessica Blomstrom, a Sports Basement web editor on the company's site.

The outdoors retailer has locations in Sunnyvale, Walnut Creek and three locations in San Francisco. The company is hiring here.
