The Scoop on Where Kids Eat Free

Eating out with the family can be a great way to get out of the house and a welcome break from a hot kitchen when the temperature starts to rise. But taking the whole family out to dinner can be expensive!

Well, the Mom Squad has done some of the work for you. We’ve compiled a list of local restaurants that offer free kid’s meals.

Sounds like a great way to get the family together without all the work!

Campbell

(200 East Campbell Ave, Campbell)

Sonoma Chicken Coop offers free kids meals on Mondays and Tuesdays (with the purchase of an adult meal). Kids entrees include chicken strips, chicken drummies, pepperoni pizza, pasta butter, pasta alfredo, pasta bolognese, pasta marinara, cheeseburger, and mac-n-cheese served with a choice of grapes, fruit, mashed potatoes, green beans, or fries. (Kids must be 10 or under)

(1875 S. Bascom Ave, Campbell)
From 5:00 p.m.- 9:00 p.m. on Wednesdays, kids 12 or younger eat for free with purchase of one adult meal. Kids meal options include breakfast, lunch, and dinner options.

(2060 Bascom Ave, Campbell)
Kids eat free on Tuesdays and Saturdays from 4:00 p.m.- 10:00 p.m. with purchase of adult meal.

Coco’s Restaurant (150 E. Hamilton Ave, Campbell)
After 4pm on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, kids under 10 eat free. One kid’s meal per adult meal purchased, dine-in only, kid’s meal includes drink.

Dickie’s BBQ Pit (1402 Camden Ave, Campbell)
Dickie’s offers free kids meals (with purchase of adult meals - dine in only) every day after 3pm and all day on Sunday. They offer chicken nuggets, a sandwich (with your choice of meat), or a plate (with your choice of meat) with your choice of a kid size side. They also have free soft serve ice cream (in a cup or a cone!).

Los Gatos

(316 N. Santa Cruz Ave, Los Gatos)
Kids eat free at Pedro’s on Wednesdays (with purchase of adult meal).

(20 S. Santa Cruz Ave, Los Gatos)
Kids 10 and under eat free on Mondays after 4pm, with purchase of adult entree.

San Jose

Pasta Pomodoro (2083 Camden Ave, San Jose)
Pasta Pomodoro offers free kids meals (with the purchase of an adult meal) all day on Tuesday, and after 5pm on Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays. Their kids menu offers mini chicken parm, cheese pizza, sausage pizza, grilled cheese as well as pick your own pasta (choose your noodle and sauce). Meals also come with a drink and chocolate sundae.

Willow Street (1554 Saratoga Ave, San Jose)
Willow Street at the Westgate Shopping Center offers free kids meals every Tuesday. They have a very broad kids menu - chicken tenders, spaghetti, pizza, mac and cheese, and sides of salad and broccoli as well as many other choices. They don’t serve fruit though so if you’re kids are little fruit eaters you might want to bring your own!

Carrows Restaurant (910 Saratoga Ave, San Jose)
Kids eat free after 4pm. All kid’s meals include choice of juice, lemonade, milk, or soft drink. Meal options for kids are both breakfast and lunch/ dinner items. Lunch and dinner meals include choice of one: fries, garden salad, fruit, mashed potatoes, vegetables, or rice.

Chevys Fresh Mex (1502 Saratoga Ave, San Jose)
One free kid’s meal per adult meal on Tuesdays all day. (Not valid with other offers or coupons.)

Mojo Burgers (1141 Bird Ave, San Jose)
At Mojo Burgers, kids eat free on Wednesday nights from 4-8pm. They offer mini cheeseburgers, chicken nuggets, hot dogs or grilled cheese on their kids menus which also include fries and a drink.

Tony Roma’s (4233 Moorpark Ave, San Jose)
Kids 12 and under eat for free all day on Tuesdays (limit of 2 kids per adult).

Marie Callender’s (620 Blossom Hill Rd, San Jose)
Tuesdays and Saturdays, kids eat free (one kid’s meal per adult entree purchased). Kids meals include an entree and choice of ice cream sundae or slice of apple or chocolate cream pie (drinks sold separately).

Tandoori Bistro (5353 Almaden Expy, San Jose)
Kids 5 and under eat free everyday from 11:30am - 2:30pm. During these hours the restaurant has a lunch buffet, the kid’s meal is a buffet lunch.

Santa Clara

IHOP (5403 Stevens Creek Blvd, Santa Clara)

Kids eat free all day on Wednesdays.

Happi House Teriyaki (397 Saratoga Ave, Santa Clara)
Kids eat free on Sundays with purchase of adult plate.

El Torito Mexican Restaurant (2950 Lakeside Dr, Santa Clara)
Kids 12 and under eat free on Saturdays until 3pm. (One free kid’s meal from the kid’s menu, dine-in only, not valid with other offers or coupons.)

We Mom’s at the Mom Squad love to get out of the house, and getting some free food isn’t a bad deal! Although we’ve done the footwork for you, please make sure to call the restaurant ahead of time to make sure the offers are still valid!
