You won't find Hallmark cards for National Frozen Yogurt Day or National Pancake Day, but there are ways to celebrate the kind-of-made-up holidays in Campbell.
National Frozen Yogurt Day is Monday, and the Yogurtland location in Campbell at 1790 S Bascom Ave. will be serving up free yogurt and toppings from 4-7 p.m.
The company is also promoting literacy and education with First Book for which Yogurtland hopes to raise $20,000 to provide more than 8,000 books to kids in need.
There are about 200 Yogurtland locations worldwide, including shops at the San Jose-Campbell border at Westgate West, 5395 Prospect Rd. and at 125 E San Carlos St. in San Jose. Last year on National Frozen Yogurt Day, Yogurtland served more than 1.2 million free cups of yogurt.
But don't fill up on dessert.
IHOP is giving away free pancakes on Tuesday to celebrate National Pancake Day.
The restaurant also is aiming to raise $3 million for Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals in celebration of the organization’s 30th anniversary, so the pancakes are free but the restaurant would like customers to make a charitable donation.
Although there isn't a location in the Orchard City, here are a few within driving distance:
- 644 N 1st St., San Jose
- 5403 Stevens Creek Blvd., Santa Clara
- 4200 Great America Pkwy., Santa Clara
