The local DIY gardening and agriculture boutique in downtown Campbell announced it will be closing its doors.
City Farmz posted this update on its Facebook Page on July 5:
It is with a bit of regret we must announce that City Farmz will be closing. Our lease is up and we will not be renewing at this location. We have really enjoyed getting to know the community and provide a, hopefully, needed service.
“We will miss all the great customers, all the people we have met,” says owner Karla Patterson. “We will miss all the businesses here that have been great to us.”
The store opened its doors in the former kaleidoscope shop, Casita de Kaleidoscopes less than a year ago. Patterson bought the sublease from the kaleidoscope shop and now, the lease is up and the rent was increased.
"We are partnering up with Start Organic, who will be in the store until August," she says.
Start Organic is an organization that builds and maintains organic urban gardens.
