Boswell's Leaving Pruneyard After New Year's Eve

Share your best Boswell's memories in the comments.

The venerable bar, restaurant and live music hall is saying goodbye to the Pruneyard...another victim of hyper rising rents in the complex.

The final night is New Year's Eve, with a show by The Degene.

They celebrated big time Dec. 21 with the final show by the Gents, a long time Campbell band featuring Greg Camp, who went on to found Smash Mouth.
The club is moving...but hasn't announced its new location yet.

Here's Boswell's self-penned bio:

Boswell’s has been “The Proper Drinking Place” for 36 years.

What makes Boswell’s unique?  Since 1977 Boswell’s is the only original Campbell bar still thriving and offering live entertainment.  Our long-time, loyal staff maintains a welcoming environment that has made Boswell’s a beloved destination for generations in the South Bay.  Live music is an essential part of Boswell’s and every night offers a different appeal.  From karaoke to the newest alternative rock or best cover bands, Boswell’s attracts a fun-loving crowd that loves to dance.  Boswell’s is also the perfect place to catch a game.  Our famous Moose could tell endless tales about memorable 49ers moments or Giants' World Series wins, celebrated and shared in the company of great fans.

Boswell’s is the best of all worlds -- a comfortable neighborhood bar that warmly welcomes regulars and newcomers alike.  You never know what to expect, but you can always expect a good time.  The Proper Drinking Place.
