Bombshell Boutique to Double in Size

The local boutique is expanding into the former Dante Company space.

Brooke Ramirez says she has felt like she needed some kind of change in her professional life, especially after her daughter Taylor was born.

"Michael from Chique Jewelry told me that babies bring you good luck," Ramirez says.

That change and good luck came in the form of another downtown Campbell merchant deciding to close her doors, allowing for another to open for Ramirez.

Dante Company announced that after nearly 20 years it would be closing Dec. 31. With it's closure, Ramirez jumped at the chance to grow her business of six years: Bombshell Boutique.

"I will be doubling my space," she says. "All in all, it will be a better layout and more room for the accessories and a second dressing room."

The shop first opened on Bascom Avenue in 2006 and moved to The Courtyard downtown the following year. Ramirez then moved her boutique to its current location in 2009, where she says it will continue to be after the expansion.

Bombshell will be open through Jan. 6, 2013 and will then close Jan. 7, 2013 for the expansion. Ramirez expects to be reopened Feb. 1, 2013 and asks shoppers and fans to keep an eye on the boutique's Facebook Page for details on a Grand Opening.

"It will be more comfortable for me, for my customers and those waiting to use the fitting rooms," she says.
