Authentic Fine Vietnamese Cuisine in Campbell

Huong Nguyen shares why his Vietnamese Cuisine is one of a kind.

Just passing the one-year anniversary of his restaurant's grand opening, Huong Nguyen says he has always wanted to open up a restaurant and that Campbell was just the place for LeQuy, Fine Vietnamese Cuisine.

“Campbell did not have a Vietnamese restaurant before LeQuy,” Nguyen
says.

Before moving to the California in 1984, one of Nguyen’s goals was to open up a restaurant.

“I always wanted to open up a family restaurant in a community where I could meet people,” Nguyen says. “My sister is a chef in our kitchen and she had also dreamed of owning a family restaurant.”

LeQuy stands apart from other similar restaurants, Huong says, by offering all natural food with no additives; no color enhancers and offers gluten free dishes making customers feel happy with what they are eating.

Vietnamese food is known for Pho, the fresh rice noodles with homemade beef or chicken broth with bean sprouts, basil, jalapeno & lime. Another popular item among customers are the spring rolls.

Nguyen’s favorite dish is the Sea Bass Fried Rice Dish, and he emphasizes that no other Vietnamese restaurant has this on the menu.

East San Jose has a lot of different Vietnamese restaurants, which made it a commute for people in Campbell that wanted Vietnamese food, he says. LeQuy is a fine Vietnamese restaurant that offers breakfast, lunch and dinner right in the Orchard City.

Along with offering home-cooked Vietnamese Cuisine, one can also enjoy a
hearty American breakfast, making LeQuy a great restaurant for the family.

“Most of my customers come here with their families,” says Nguyen, “Parents that want to eat Vietnamese food like to bring their children here since we offer traditional America breakfast.”

LeQuy not only attracts families for its menu, but also for its home setting inside. Employees are friendly and happy to greet you as you walk through the doors. Along with a large dining area, there is a banquet room offered to customers for birthday parties and other special events which also make the restaurant unique.

Nguyen says the best thing about owning a restaraunt is the relationships that he has built with customers.

“I know 80 percent of my customers,” Nguyen says with a smile.

Nguyen also emphasizes the importance of getting involved in the community and getting to know the members in your community. This adds to the “small town feel” you get in his restaurant, he says.

Along with the restaurant being an ideal place for a family get-together, Nguyen emphasizes that his goal is to also hire local students going to high school and college, to help them gain real life work experience while attending school.

“When I opened the restaurant, I wanted to provide jobs to people in the community and support any organization that comes through the doors,” Nguyen says.

Nguyen is an active member of the Campbell community, a member of the Campbell, and the Campbell Neighborhood Association and supports the sheriff/police department, the fire department. He is also a proud supporter of PACE, Pacific Autism Center for Education.

LeQuy, Fine Vietnamese Cuisine is located at 1461 W Campbell Ave.
