A 'New Kind of Fish House' Coming to Campbell - Pacific Catch: Fresh Fish Grill

The Pruneyard Shopping Center welcomes another new restaurant specializing in seafood.

If their menu offers a glimpse of what to expect once Pacific Catch: Fresh Fish Grill opens in the Pruneyard Shopping Center this summer, Campbell seafood lovers will have a variety of creative combinations to look forward to from this "new kind of fish house."

The bright, bold and refreshing seafood flavors from across the globe make Pacific Catch a one-of-a-kind restaurant at the Pruneyard, combing cuisines from Asia, Latin America and Hawaii, according to their web site.

"We are supportive of any new business coming to Campbell," said Steve Prosser, Campbell associate planner.

A Campbell committee approved the restaurant's proposal in April to remodel the vacant lot next to Marshalls department store that was last occupied by Left at Albuquerque.

"It will have a unique look," Prosser said about the modern architecture of the new restaurant. "But it still fits in with the overall theme of the shopping center."

Some of the exterior renovations include an eye-catching tower visible from Bascom Avenue with the restaurants' name on it, a refinished entryway and a patio for outdoor seating will be installed and surrounded by metal railing near the storefront.

The Pacific Catch menu takes an innovative approach to seafood, according to their web site, offering selections from sushi to signature sandwiches as well as chicken and beef dishes too.

The restaurant presents guests with a "Daily Fresh Catch" option, a fresh fish dish that may change from day to day depending on what's in season. They also offer Island Tacos, Pan-Asian Rice Bowls, Fish and Chips and a gluten free menu.

Pacific Catch in Campbell is scheduled to open by the end of the month according to their web site, and will become the restaurant's fourth fish house in the Bay Area, joining locations in Corte Madera and two in San Francisco.

Once the restaurant opens they will operate Sunday through Thursday from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m., offering only drinks and appetizers the last hour of business (10 p.m. hour). Friday's and Saturday's the restaurant will open at 11 a.m. and close at midnight with the 11 p.m. hour limited to drinks and appetizers.

Residents are supportive of Pacific Catch coming to the Pruneyard, Prosser said, because in general "people seem to be interested in a high-quality fresh fish restaurant."
