National Parks to Offer Free Admission Saturday
Fees will be waived Saturday at Muir Woods, Fort Point and other Bay Area national parks.
With plenty of sunshine and warm temperatures forecast for the Bay Area this weekend, many people are already in a summer mode.
To help jump-start summer activities, theNational Park Service is offering free admission to any national park on Saturday, June 9, including several in the Greater San Francisco Bay Area.

Saturday’s free-admission event is offered as part of National Get Outdoors Day, which is part of Great Outdoors Month, a federal program designed to encourage Americans to participate in outdoor activities and enjoy the beauty of public lands throughout the nation.
