Exchange Your Thermometers

Campbell Community Center is offering new digital thermometers for mercury ones. They are also accepting batteries, eyeglasses and cell phones.

The Campbell Recreation Department is inviting residents to do an exchange with them June 19.

Between 9:30 a.m. and noon, residents can bring their glass mercury thermometers to the , room Q84 and exchange it for a digital one.

When bringing in those old thermometers, make sure to double bag them using two sealed plastic bags to prevent any spills. There's a limit to one free digital thermometer per household.

Along with the mercury thermometers, the department will also be taking old batteries, eyeglasses and cell phones.
