Two cell towers in Campbell disguised as trees—can you tell?

With more phones, more apps, more users and spotty service, it's inevitable that new cell towers will be built to appease growing consumer demand. Yet companies have realized that citizens tend to get in a huff with the onset of more cell-tower construction (as they have in and recently).

Campbell has two "trees" that are really cell towers; fairly near to each other but on opposite sides of San Tomas Expressway, they seem to blend in only from certain angles. Even this week, two more approached the Campbell Planning Commission meeting to add to this faux landscape.

If residents appreciate being able to phone their loved ones at all hours of the day, then these towers are serving their purpose.
