Make Mother's Day special with one—or more!—of these fun events.

Mother’s Day is coming up this Sunday, May 8, 2011, and that means it’s time to show Mom just how special she is. Patch makes it easy to do just that with these picks for a fun Mother’s Day. So get out and show Mom a good time!

Brunch at Twist Bistro

Twist Bistro in downtown Campbell has a delicious four-course menu planned for Mother’s Day. You’ll start with a balsamic vinaigrette-dressed salad. For the second course, you’ll choose between eggs Benedict with smoked salmon, a roasted vegetable and brie quiche or French toast.

Next up is your choice of a filet mignon, chicken en croute, grilled wild salmon or Black Forest ham crepe. For the grand finale, you’ll savor either a white chocolate mousse or strawberry soup with lime sorbet.

The winery will be pouring from their collection of Estate and Reserve wines in the tasting room and on the outdoor patio where you can enjoy the sunshine and incredible vistas. You’ll also be entertained by a playlist featuring artists who have performed at the winery over the past 52 years.

On Mother’s Day, the tasting room will be open from noon to 5 p.m.

Parking is free.

California Pops

Here’s something the entire family can enjoy—a special Mother’s Day performance by the California Pops orchestra at the Calvary Church of Los Gatos. Performing with the orchestra will be special guests Tom Stryker, a jazz harmonica artist, and Jia-Yi He, an internationally known virtuoso harmonica musician who has performed on TV's America's Got Talent.

If you purchase one of the first 350 children’s tickets, you’ll receive a free harmonica!

The concert starts at 3 p.m.

See the Pops website to purchase tickets.

Presentation Center Brunch

Presentation Center, situated in a beautiful location in Los Gatos, is hosting their 5th Annual Mother’s Day brunch, and it looks to be quite a spread. You’ll enjoy mimosas, smoked salmon and bagels, leg of lamb, New York strip loin, chicken Coq Au Vin, Filet of Sole Meuniere, eggs Benedict, pancakes and desserts.

Seating will be in a friendly family style with tables of eight persons each. After brunch, take a leisurely walk on the center’s beautiful 67-acre grounds.

Brunch starts at 11 a.m.

Farmers Market

The Campbell Farmers Market is a wonderful, leisurely way to spend the first part of Mother’s Day. With the warmer weather comes a larger variety of fruits and vegetables.

Let Mom pick up some of her favorites, as well as some items from the prepared food vendors, and then head home and prepare her a Mother’s Day feast she’ll remember for years to come!

The market is open from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
