Get Out in Campbell: Eastern European Music, a Yarn Crawl and Marathon Training

Go hear some music from Eastern Europe, go on a yarn crawl, attend an informational meeting about a team in training or attend one of two fundraisers.

Why Go: See and enjoy the results of the commitment and dedication of the  Duquesne University Tamburitzans as they present their show of Eastern European song, music, and dance. Get a taste of Eastern Europe in Campbell.

Why Go: Get all the yarn you want and more. This is the yarn crawl to end all yarn crawls.  Green Planet Yarn and eleven other local yarn shops from the Peninsula to the Pier have organized this annual Shop Hop. It used to be in the fall, buy hey, why not take advantage of the great spring weather. Visiting all the shops to be eligible for some great prizes. There will be daily raffles, too.

Why Go: Find out how you can the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's Team In Training® (TNT), where you will raise funds for the organization as you take part in the a top-notch sports training program and receive professional coaching to successfully complete a full or half marathon, cycling event or triathlon. It's a win-win; you accomplish something remarkable and help in the fight against cancer.

Why Go: "Causes for the Kids Date Night" lets you get out for a night on the town and know that at the same time your money is going for more than a good time — towards resources for bullying awareness and prevention, suicide prevention, and mental wellness. Lots of gourmet food pairings with local wines. Oh, and music, too. How about some jazz?

When/Where: Sunday, 1:30 p.m. to 4 p.m., Los Gatos Lodge, 40 Los Gatos-Saratoga Rd., Los Gatos

Why Go: This is the annual fundraiser of Soroptimist International of Los Gatos-Saratoga to benefit women and girls in our communities.  The event features an afternoon of tea, tea sandwiches, dessert and musi from steel drums to choral groups.  Pearl jewelry will be available for sale, hence the name.
