Get Out in Campbell: Crazy Cakes Twice, and some wine tasting too

Crazy cakes with wine and for Easter brunch, a gala theater presentation and a garage sale fundraiser are our suggestions to Get Out in and around Campbell this weekend.

Where/When: , 5000 N Rodeo Gulch Rd, Soquel, Saturday, 12:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Why Go: This is definitely a different twist on wine-tasting. Donuts and wine is not your typical combination. And there is more happening this Saturday as well at Poetic Corners.  Show up for a live filming of a reality TV pilot series.

Why Go: Stopping by here Sunday morning will definitely give you a different take on Easter brunch and your Easter entertainment. As they suggest, skip the ham and Sunday brunch and stop by for a crazy Easter donut. And there will be entertainment, too! Bruce Rogers of Korkaraoke will lead a manic Psycho Karaoke session.

Pricing: Whatever you spend, but not a lot.

When/Where: 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Saturday and Sunday,   424 University Ave. Los Gatos

Why Go: Do you know about Las Madres Neighborhood Play Groups?  It's a neighborhood non-profit where mothers get together. Now Las Madres moms in Los Gatos are getting together to hold a fund raising, multi-family garage sale to help victims of the disaster in Japan. Go on over and you can help and maybe find some of those items you have always wanted that were stashed in someone else's garage.

Pricing:  Whatever you spend.

When/Where:6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m., Saturday, 14000 Fruitvale Ave, Saratoga

Why Go: This is a fundraiser with a different twist and it offers just about everything. The gala event kicks off with dinner and a live auction, then the show, then post-show entertainment and a chance to mingle with the cast.  What a way to spend Saturday night and help West Valley College, too.

Pricing: $40
