Get Out in Campbell

Check out our suggestions for what to do in and around Campbell this weekend —and our weekend starts on Thursday. So go ahead and Get Out!

Some music, some theater, an art reception and an all-day conference about Silicon Valley — all this and more for you this weekend in and around Campbell. So don't hesitate, have some fun and get out!

Where/When:  , 4805 Westmont Ave., Friday, Saturday, 7:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.

Why Go:  Support our student actors in their performance of "Curtains," a musical "whoodonit."   The play is set in the 50s and tells the tale of a murder investigation of an aging Broadway star.  Come see this very talented cast of Westmont High students in their perfomrance of "Curtains."

Where/When: 5001 Great America Pkwy, Santa Clara, CA 95054 (Santa Clara Convention Center) Saturday, 1:00 p.m. t0 10:00 p.m.

Why Go: The annual conference is an all day and all night affair. By day, the conference will be a full discussion of all the economic issues facing Silicon Valley, with speakers who include Jim Plummer, dean of the Stanford School of Engineering. There will be speakers from Monster. Blackberry, Google and more. By night, dinner a look at entertainment and technology and words from a film director.

Pricing: $20 to $50 for the afternoon part of the program; $100 to $140 for the evening.

When/Where:  , 4 Tait Ave, Los Gatos, Sunday, 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Why Go: Reception at the Art Museum of Los Gatos for three American artists, John Peck, Andrew Ameral and Aaron Pavelis who all trained in Florence.  Meet the artists and see the art.

When/Where: 6 p.m., Friday, Montalvo Arts Center, 15400 Montalvo Rd., Saratoga

Why Go: A free concert, who can resist that. And get an idea of what's happening in the Seattle music scene from guest artist Tom Baker. Baker  is a composer, performer and music producer who is a staple of the Seattle music scene.
