First Fridays Cancelled Through April

The popular monthly event will pick up in May.

The monthly nighttime festivities throughout downtown Campbell are on hiatus, starting today.

Although late night shopping and dining will still be available, there will not be any live entertainment starting Jan. 6 and will not resume until May.

First Fridays are a monthly event, free to the public and include live entertainment, late-night shopping and various offerings of food. Most are themed, including the , and even classic car shows.

Organizers say that the sudden hiatus is due in part to the weather.

“Basically, January through April are pretty slow,” says Brooke Ramirez, owner of Bombshell Boutique and organizer of the First Friday events. “We plan on using the money saved through these upcoming months to revamp First Fridays May through December.”
