Local author Zoe Ferraris will give a free talk at the Campbell Library on Aug. 17, at 7 p.m. Her novel, Finding Nouf, won the LA Times Book Award for First Fiction. Her novel, City of Veils, was SF Chronicle's Best of 2010 selection. Ferraris lived in Saudi Arabia following the first Gulf War with her then-husband and his family. This circumstance served as inspiration for her novels. Her books are available at the library. On Aug. 17, Ferraris will discuss her novels and answer questions. (Free.
