The 16th Annual Children’s Funfest at the San Jose Flea Market
Enjoy an afternoon of fun with experiments, animals and music.
August 25th and 26th 2012-- The 16th Annual Children’s Funfest is a tradition at the San Jose Flea Market for activities for kids and the whole family. Join us for experiments, crafts, animals and music in the Pavilion.
The crazy Scientists from Mad Science bring their collection of experiments to create and discover. Make your very own “glow in the dark slime” at the Slippery Science Station. Learn about “air pressure” at the Under Pressure Fun Station. These experiments are just the right amount of education and fun to be the perfect way to get a student ready for the classroom again.
Radio Disney hosts on Saturday playing games, giving out prizes and rocking out to your favorite tunes. National Award Winning Entertainer and Educator, Francie Dillon and Gordon host on Sunday. Musical talent from Crunch Frog Band, Bay Area Girls Band, Mariachi San Jose and Stacy Stone light up the stage.
Meet a wide variety of animals. The Happy Birds Show of trained parrots perform their tricks both days. Explore the farm and desert in The Little Explorers Farm Animal and Reptile petting zoos.
The heart of the San Jose Flea Market has always been family. For 50 years we’ve been the place loved ones have made memories while playing, shopping, and eating together. Today, we remain one of the best destinations in the region for families to spend an inexpensive and fun-packed day. A vintage carousel, mini-Ferris wheel, and play ground with inflatable slides are just the beginning.
