Campbell Library: Job Hunting at 50 and Up

Looking for a job at age 50 and up is not easy. A generation of older adult workers is finding it difficult to land a job. Because the job market has changed, it's not enough to focus on what you have done in the past. Employers want to know what you offer now.

In this free workshop at Campbell Library, Fidel Sanchez, the class facilitator, will guide the group to discover ways to tweak their approach to job hunting. He will discuss the use of the latest social media technologies and the importance of updating employable skills. Fidel will share some of the latest research findings and how to creatively respond when told "you are overqualified."

Fidel Sanchez is an Employment Development Specialist at work2future, San Jose, CA and a Trustee of the National Employment Association.
