Viewfinder: The History in the Present

The Campbell Historical Museum has treasures of local history ready for visitors to explore.

The Campbell Historical Museum has a world of local artifacts that remind the visitor that the really was an agriculture site not long ago.

Unlike some other historical museums, here whole sections have signage that says "Please Touch," encouraging a hands-on approach to experiencing local history.

At its center, a 1921 Rauch & Lang Electric Vehicle, one of only 20 known in existence, says Karen Lange, museum curator.

The Campbell Historical Museum is located at 51 North Central Ave., 408-866-2119. Museum Hours: Thu - Sat, Sun; Noon to 4 p.m.
