Veterans Memorial Foundation Remembers the Fallen

The ceremony was also a celebration of the completion of the first phase of construction for the Campbell Veterans Memorial.

The Campbell Veterans Memorial Foundation marked Memorial Day with a ceremony at the Orchard City Green, both honoring the fallen and celebrating the completion of the first phase of construction for the .

Congresswoman Anna Eshoo was in attendance and presented the foundation with an American flag that had flown over the U.S. Capital building.

The foundation placed brick pavers around the main plaza to show attendees what the area will look like with inscribed bricks and pavers. Eventually, the entire plaza will be filled.

General Ken Hillhouse, a member of the foundation's advisory board, was the event's keynote speaker.
