Sundown Cinema Seeks Input on Electronic Devices

The popular summer outdoor movie series wants to know if it should ban laptops and cell phones.

Summer in Campbell is chalk full of community events, including the .

This year, organizers have asked visitors to vote on the Downtown Campbell Business Association's website whether laptops and smartphones should be banned from the nighttime event.

The electronics have been making an appearance at the weekly event, distracting movie-goers with their bright LED displays.

To date, organizers say that there is no policy in place banning the use of electronic equipment so instead of adding this in themselves, they are taking a more democratic approach.

If you're watching a movie (outdoors or in), why would you have your laptop with you? A smart phone I get, but a laptop? What does everyone else think on this subject?
