Six Things to Do in Campbell This Weekend

Campbell is loaded with events every week. Here's our "short list" of things to check out before Monday morning.

Your to-do list is probably chalk full of chores, scheduled R & R and Olympics viewing, but there's a ton going on in Campbell this weekend you just don't want to miss. If we forgot any events, please let us know what, who, when and where in the comments section below.

For now, here's our short list of fun events to take in and take on this weekend:

"Harold & Maude" hits the big screen next to Friday night. Bust out the folding lawn chairs and blankets and show the youngins in your life why movies really were better back in the day.

2. Campbell Farmers' Market, Sunday, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Ok, you never truly need a reason to go to the farmers' market, what with all the fresh produce, ample people watching and beautiful sunshine, but if you haven't experienced , this weekend is your chance.

3. Family Fun Fridays at the , 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Today is the last day to take advantage of the $5 deal for tickets (children under three are free). The fun runs from 10 a.m.- 4 p.m.

4. Joseph Mortela at Orchard Valley Coffee, Saturday, 6 p.m.

Acoustic goodness is a'brewin Saturday night as Joseph Mortela's indie coolness breezes through the coffee shop once again. Come down, grab some joe and wear you're best grunge outfit.

5. Campbell Boot Camp at the track, Friday, 9 a.m.

Has the lead up to the London Olympics, which officially begin Saturday, got you pumped up to get in shape? Trek on down to Campbell Community Center rack with a towel, bottle of water, a set of dumbbells, an exercise mat and the attitude to take on the day. 6. Kalen Gallagher for Campbell Union High School District Kickoff Party at , Saturday, 2 p.m. - 4 p.m.

Join CUHSD hopeful Kalen Gallagher as he celebrates the official launch of his bid for the board. The former teacher's kickoff party is open to all community members. Tickets can be purchased here though no one will be turned away for financial reasons.
