Rain? Say What? Yup, Light Showers Predicted for Bay Area

Forecasters say intermittent showers will be here through Wednesday.

By Bay City News—

Light rain is forecast to fall on the Bay Area this week, a National Weather Service forecaster said Sunday.

As early as Tuesday evening, a front of steady showers is forecast to make its way south across the North Bay to San Francisco and continue on-and-off through Wednesday, forecaster Diana Henderson said.

Most areas will see between a tenth of an inch and a quarter-inch of rainfall, she said.

Higher elevations in the North Bay and coastal mountains might get up to an inch of rain.

Spring-like warm temperatures should return to the area by Friday, according to the weather service.
