Puppy Love

Bundles of fur available for adoption.

Wednesday is National Puppy Day, an event that promotes adopting puppies through shelters or rescue organizations instead of puppy mills. There are dozens of cute pups in the South Bay that are available right now.

Sassy
Take a look at Sassy—a 6-month-old tan terrier mix. Sassy lives up to her name. She is very active and loves to play fetch and tug of war. She would get along well with another dog. Although Sassy is only a pup, she is housetrained and already knows how to sit and use a doggy door. If you are interested in adopting Sassy, please email Companion Animal Rescue Effort (CARE).

Charlie
The white-furred pup with the sweet face is Charlie, a terrier and Chihuahua mix. Charlie is only 6 weeks old and will be available for adoption in two weeks. You can meet Charlie at one of CARE’s pet fairs in the Maple Leaf Plaza at the corner of Saratoga Avenue and Piper Drive. CARE’s dog fairs are on Saturdays from 10:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. For more information about Charlie, email CARE.

Burt
Bay Area Siberian Husky Rescue (BASH) has Burt, an adorable 12-week-old puppy. He is most likely a mix of Siberian husky, German shepherd and Bernese mountain dog. Burt has a sweet disposition and is well socialized.  His adoption fee is $500, which includes all shots. If you’re interested in giving Burt a home, contact BASH for more information.

Lenny
Last but not least is Lenny, a tan-and-white Chihuahua pup. Lenny is about 6 months old and looking for someone to give him a loving home and guidance. His portable size makes him an ideal on-the-go companion. Lenny is available through the Silicon Valley Animal Control Authority (SVACA). Right now, SVACA has a “Name Your Adoption Price” on Lenny and any other Chihuahuas available for adoption. Visit svaca.com for more information.
