Memorial Day Service Attracts Dozens to Campbell

Campbell's early-morning Memorial Day celebration featured various veterans as speakers.

Dozens of people flocked to the on to remember those servicemen and women who died for this country.

The event kicked off at 9 a.m. with local veteran as the emcee, Pastor Hernan Tantaruna from Holy Trinity Church giving the opening and ending prayers/benedictions and various veterans, including officer and Chaplain Mike Walker sharing their stories and experiences in, and out, of the service.

"You know, Memorial Day is a very amazing day," Estep said to the crowd, "because it gives us an opportunity to to really think and reflect on all of those that have given the ultimate sacrifice for our freedoms we have today."
