Lost (Very Smart) 'Kiki' Dog Helps Find Its Owners in Campbell!

A small dog was lost Sunday in Campbell -- but only briefly, as the Pomeranian mix led the woman who found it on a walk to its own front door!

Campbell resident Kelly Weimer's daughter, Sarah, found the pup running loose in the area of Llewellyn and Campbell avenues, brought the dog inside and Kelly posted a couple  "lost" notices on the Internet with her phone number, hoping to hear from its owners.

She then decided to take a walk with the little pooch, whom she learned later was named Kiki, put a leash on her and and headed down Llewellyn -- which is when Kiki took over.

"I went to turn to the right at Campbell, but she wanted to go left," Weimer said.

"Then I was going to turn at Hardy," Weimer said, "but she wanted to go straight."

And so they did, with Kiki eventually leading Weimer up the driveway belonging to a blue house and to the front door -- and voila! -- Kiki was home!

The owners, who were cruising the area looking for her, were delighted Kiki was safely found.

And Weimer added: "She is a super smart dog."
