With cool weather and the rainy season just around the corner, many people are gearing up for winter by adding extra layers of clothing and heavier coats. But for many South Bay people who have limited incomes, a warm winter coat isn’t always easy to come by.
But help is out there. Through Nov. 15, Stacks’ Restaurant at 139 E. Campbell Ave., is participating in a “Keep Me Warm” coat donation program where people can drop off new or gently used coats, jackets and sweaters for distribution to various South Bay shelters.
Coats can be dropped off at the restaurant from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. daily. For details, call 408-376-3516.
