Grab & Go Kids Planner

Help local students, meet the Beatles (sorta), make your own head gear, see Chinese dancers and help support your teen.

Where/When: Villa Ragusa, Wednesday, 6-8:30 p.m.

Why Go: This is a benefit for Kiwanis Clubs' Turnaround Scholarships, awarded each year to high school students who have overcome challenges to succeed in high school.

Proceeds from this event, which features wine tasting, hors d’oeuvres and a raffle with a $1,000 grand prize, will be divided among area clubs for their scholarships.

How Much: Tickets are $35 or three for $100 at the door.

2. THE REUNION BEATLES 

Where/When: , Thursday, 7 p.m.

Why Go: Billed as "the fantasy concert that never was," this tribute show imagines a reunion of the Fab Four in their later years and features the songs that made John, Paul, George and Ringo famous in their earlier days.

How Much: $27-$32.

3. CROCHETED BEANIE CLASS

Where/When: , Saturday, 1:30-3 p.m.

Why Go: Beginning crocheters can learn how to create their own fashionable head gear in this class.

How Much: $37 fee includes pattern; other supplies may be purchased separately.

4. CHINESE DANCE SHOWCASE

Where/When: Heritage Theatre, Saturday at 7 p.m. and Sunday at 3 p.m.

Why Go: The young students of Lujianping Dance and Arts stage their annual showcase, performing Chinese classical and folk dances as well as their best ballet moves.

How Much: $19.

5. TEEN RELATIONSHIP GROUP

Where/When: Offices of Robert Fettgather, Ph.D Associates, Monday, 5-6:30 p.m.

Why Go: Marriage and family therapist Caitlyn Oscarson leads a group for teens from 14-18 who want to share, learn and receive support from each other. This is is the second of 12 scheduled weekly sessions.
