Grab and Go Kids Planner: Two Easter events, a Community Clean-Up and a Japan Fundraiser

Two Easter activities, a community clean-up, a fundraiser for Japan and some TV-free activities are some of our suggestions for you in this week's Campbell Kids Planner.

When/Where: 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., Saturday, , 2215 Curtner Ave. Campbell

Why Go: On the day before Easter, a stop for the festivities here will be a real multicultural Easter experience for the kids and for you. There will be an egg hunt, of course, as well as lots of fun games, crafts for the kids, a raffle and food. A good time for all, including you, and a nice way to get ready for Easter the next day.

Where/When: , 10300 Torre Ave., Cupertino, Saturday, 9 a.m.

Why Go: Celebrate Easter as well as fun, fitness and family. There is something for everyone at the fun run. And you don't have to run—you can walk! Of course, one of the big draws is the kids run. So take your kids and let them "compete."

Where/When: , 1250 Dell Ave., 8 a.m. to noon

Why Go: Give your kids a good example and show them how Campbell marks Earth Day—with a community clean-up. The clean-up has four focuses, and all hands are welcome, even little ones.

Volunteers meet at the park at 8 a.m. Refreshments in the morning and lunch at noon. 

Pricing: Free.

Where/When: 4660 Eastus Dr., San Jose, Saturday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Why Go: Want to do something to help out Japan and set that example for your kids? Take them to the flea market and bake sale that the greater Moreland Little League community is sponsoring this week for Japan relief.

You can drop by anytime during the day. You can also buy some yummy baked goods for your kids.

Pricing: Whatever your spend.

When/Where: 7:15-8:15 p.m. Wednesday and Thurday, 1 p.m. Saturday, The Wooden Horse, 796 Blossom Hill Rd., Los Gatos,

Why Go: The Wooden Horse will celebrate Screen Free week, which as its name implies is to encourage you and your kids to get away from the TV.

There are activities all week. Wednesday is arts and crafts night. Thursday is game night, with board games for adults, too. And Saturday, starting at 1 p.m., is Play Day. So go ahead and stop by The Wooden Horse.
