The event, which takes place on Thursday, April 25, 6:00 p.m. at Villa Ragusa is the latest reincarnation of a group fashion event that was last held in 2008. Bombshell Boutique was one of the downtown businesses that participated both of the previous events.

"They were usually done in the cold weather but this year it is taking place during the spring time so we can show off lively colors," says Head Organizer and Bombshell Boutique Owner Brooke Ramirez. "The colors are really vibrant and a little vibrancy in everyone's life is a good thing."

Bombshell Boutique is one of eight downtown Campbell retailers participating in this year's event, which will include a meet and greet with retailers, a chance to shop, taste food from local restaurants and eateries and watch a fashion show--complete with children's clothes, boutique finds, jewelry and accessories and of course, bathing suits.

"We want to bring more exposure to the boutiques in downtown Campbell, to retail shopping," she says of the event's purpose.

The event will also include live salsa and merengue dancing by Fred Astaire Dance Studio as well as music by The Bang Girl Group Revue.

"This year's event is a little different, way more welcoming," Ramirez says. "You have parents that can find great clothes for their kids, people my age group finding affordable fashion, and if the guys get bored, there will be girls in swimsuits."

Simply Smashing! owner Deb Rohzen is no stranger to Campbell's fashion scene. She, like Ramirez was also involved in the previous two events and hopes that visitors come to check out the eclectic mix that downtown merchants have to offer.

"It's an interactive fashion event," Rohzen says. "You're part of the show just by showing up."
